LOYD STAR — Mississippi Highway Patrol continues to investigate a serious wreck on MS-550 just west of Sam’s Road and Dollar General Sunday. Two vehicles were involved in the wreck with injuries at 11:48 p.m. 

First responders from MHP, KDMC, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Loyd Star Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene. 

Cpl. Craig James, with MHP Public Affairs division, stated there were no fatalities associated with the wreck. One person was seriously injured but was in stable condition. 

The crash is under investigation. We will provide an update when the investigation is complete.
