13-year-old charged as adult in weekend shooting

An arrest has been made for a Saturday night shooting on Dixie Road in Brookhaven.

The victim was shot five times, but is “doing OK,” according to Police Chief Kenneth Collins.

Sunday night, a Brookhaven 13-year-old was arrested. Emorion Perry, of Amite Road, was booked into the Lincoln County Jail and charged as an adult.

“There were a couple of other shootings that are under investigation at this time,” Collins said.

According to police call records, one shooting was reported at 11:35 p.m. Friday on Old Wesson Road.
