1 killed in Hwy. 84 wreck

A single vehicle accident on Hwy. 84 W. at the Franklin-Lincoln County line Wednesday night left one person dead.

Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to an accident at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday on Hwy. 84 W.

James Burl Kimbrough, 74, of Mount Olive, was pronounced dead on the scene at 11:46 p.m., according to Lincoln County Coroner Clay McMorris.

Kimbrough was the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet pick-up truck, McMorris said. He was in route to Natchez when he lost control and ran off the road, he said.

The accident is still under investigation.
