James and Alma Laird, of Brookhaven, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Caroline Laird, of Brookhaven, to Donavan Huhn, of Columbia.

He is the son of Eddie Huhn and Malana Ford.

She is the granddaughter of the late James Overton Warren, the late Marguerite Wallace Warren, the late Martha Dixon Laird and the late James Knox Laird.

He is the grandson of Marjorie Carney Lambert, the late Wilfred Lambert, Annette Martin and Denman Huhn.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Pearl River Community College where she received an associate’s degree.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Pearl River Community College, where he received associate’s degree in applied science.

The bridal attendants will be Adria Littlefield, Ashton Smith, Cadence Laird, Amelia Laird and Maddie Laird. Groom attendants will be Danny Blair, Matt Murphy, Nate Matthews, Ryan Bullock and Evan Bullock

The couple will exchange vows at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Adams United Methodist Church.
