Services for Katrina Ann Bowman Gill will be held on Aug. 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with interment at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 until 9 p.m. Sunday evening, August 11, at Riverwood.

Katrina Ann Bowman Gill, 71, of Brookhaven, passed away Aug. 8, 2013 at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 6, 1941, to Herman LeeRoy Bowman and Elsie Vee Newton Bowman.

She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brian L. Emerson; daughter, Jamie Leigh Gibson; parents, Herman and Elsie Bowman; and brothers, Herman Bowman Jr. and Clark Bowman.

She is survived by her husband, Alford Jerry Jackson; son, Tommy Gibson and wife, Vicki; daughter, Becky Gibson Townsend and husband, Robert; and brothers, Kenneth Eugene Bowman and Richard Irving Bowman. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Christi Fortado, Cody Emerson, Erin Gibson, Peyton Gibson, Brannon Townsend and Robben Townsend; and four great-grandchildren, Dalton Fortado, Rylan Fortado, Easton Emerson and Kael Townsend.
