Funeral services for Barbara Gail Floyd Brister are 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery.

Mrs. Brister, 77, died April 16, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill. She was born in Brookhaven on April 27, 1935 to Sam M. Floyd and Johnnie Pearl Ables Floyd, both of Brookhaven.

She was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald E. Brister; two brothers, Charles and Eddie Floyd; and granddaughter, Christa Nicole Brister.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Lawrence and husband, Scott, of Springfield, Ill.; sons, Bryan Brister and wife, Linda, of St. Charles, Mo., and Dwayne Brister and wife, Pam, of Littleton, Colo.; sisters, Charlene Lambert and Peggy McBee, both of Brookhaven; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
