COVID-19: No new recent cases in Lincoln County

No cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Lincoln County since March 1, 2023.
Nearly 30 tests have been reported to the Mississippi State Department of Health in the past seven days, and none of those have been positive for COVID-19.
Statewide, 1,211 new positive test results have been reported March 7-13.
Fifteen deaths were identified by MSDH during that time period. Two occurred March 3-9, one each in Hinds and Pike counties. Thirteen were identified from death certificate reports Jan. 29-Feb. 28, including one in Lawrence County.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Mississippi has recorded 991,967 positive cases (524,488 confirmed and 467,479 probable) and 13,385 related deaths (8,753 confirmed and 4,632 probable).
Lincoln County vaccinated
Of the more than 34,150 residents of the county, 46.4 percent have had at least one dose of a vaccine for the coronavirus — 15,858. Forty percent of the population has completed a primary series of doses (40.3 percent, 13,770 people) and 1,663 people have had an updated bivalent booster dose (1,663 people).
Of Mississippi’s total residents, 98.1 percent have completed a primary series of vaccines in their county of residence.
