BROOKHAVEN — It might be a little hazy tomorrow morning but you could not ask for a better stage to start the youth turkey season in Mississippi. The first day of spring is March 20 which is 12 days away.
Patchy fog is forecast for the area before 9 a.m. and then clearing to a cloudy day. It will gradually becoming sunny the further the day moves along. There is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m.
A high of 84 degrees is forecast with a west southwest wind around 5-to-10 mph. Wednesday night will see widespread haze between 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Patchy fog will return after 11 p.m. The low will be 65.
Sunrise is at 6:21 a.m. on Wednesday. Sunset is at 6:09 p.m.
Legal shooting light for turkeys is 30 minutes before sunrise and 30 minutes after sunset.
Warm weather could be good for fishing as well.
