New Year’s holiday closings announced

In observance of the New Year’s holiday, The Daily Leader office will be closed Wednesday, and the newspaper will not publish an edition on New Year’s Day.

The following other area offices have announced their schedules for the New Year’s holidays:

• Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will close New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

• Waste Pro will run their routes as usual on New Year’s Day.

• The U.S. Post Office in Brookhaven, West office, will be open until 1 p.m. New Year’s Eve and will be closed New Year’s Day. Downtown offices will close at noon on New Year’s Eve and will be closed New Year’s Day.

• The Mississippi Highway Patrol Driver’s License exam office will be closed New Year’s Day.

• Brookhaven Academy will be closed through Jan. 6.

• Public schools in Brookhaven, Copiah County and Franklin County will be closed through Jan. 7.

• Lawrence and Lincoln County schools will be closed through Jan. 6.

• Mississippi School of the Arts and Copiah-Lincoln Community College will be closed through Jan. 6. Co-Lin will have student orientation on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

• Brookhaven city offices will be closed New Year’s Day.

• Monticello offices will close at noon New Year’s Eve and will be closed New Year’s Day.

• Bude and Meadville offices will be closed at noon New Year’s Eve and all day New Year’s Day.

• Wesson offices will be closed New Year’s Day. The city’s garbage pick-up routes will run Saturday instead of Wednesday.

• Franklin and Lawrence and County offices will be closed New Year’s Day.

• Lincoln and Copiah County offices will be closed New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
