2 Lawrence County Cougars sign to play college baseball

A pair of Lawrence County seniors recently signed to continue their athletic and academic career on the community college level. Senior pitcher/infielder Caden Case signed to next play at Southwest Mississippi Community College while senior catcher Hunter Turner inked with Mississippi Delta Community College. Pictured with Case are, front row, from left, Wayne Peavey, Caden Case, Pam Peavey; standing Bailey Peavey. Case was a first team All-District performer last year for the Cougars. He had a 1.96 ERA in 25 innings pitched. At the plate, he drove in 18 runs and had a .247 batting average.
