Enterprise senior quarterback Landon McNickles wore a smile of happiness and relief on Troy Smith Field Friday after his team beat Bogue Chitto 26-13 in the Bogue Chitto River Rivalry. The win was the first for the third year starting quarterback and his teammates over the Bobcats in their career.

For his outstanding play in earning the big non-region win, McNickles has been named The Daily Leader Offensive Player of the Week. Through the air, McNickles went 9-of-16 passing for 128 yards.

It was with his legs where McNickles did the most damage. Running behind his big, senior-laden offensive line, McNickles rushed the ball 16 times for 115 yards and three touchdowns, all after halftime when EAC found itself down 7-6 to the Bobcats. Watching McNickles run in that second half, you could see a signal caller that trusted his teammates to make the winning plays when the Jackets needed them the most. Enterprise is back at home this week hosting Leake County.
