The season of cancellations rolls on for the Brookhaven High Panthers as their Friday night matchup at McComb was cancelled not by COVID-19 — but by severe weather.

Lightning pushed the start of the game back just before kickoff and never relented enough for things to get underway.

Both teams are off next week, but it appears the game won’t be made up.

McComb (1-0) hosts Bay High on Sept. 25 while Brookhaven (0-1) gets Region 3-5A play started that same night by hosting the West Jones Mustangs.
