A deep run that ended in the NJCAA Division II World Series with a fourth-placed finish for Copiah-Lincoln CC softball has yielded some impressive honors for members of the 2024 team coached by Meleah Howard.

Sophomore center fielder Madison Moak, a Brookhaven Academy graduate and Southern Miss signee, was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the tournament while also earning All-Tournament honors.

Moak had big hit after big hit in Spartanburg, South Carolina during the seven games played by CLCC. During that span she had five doubles, three triples, three home runs and a whopping 18 RBIs. Moak scored nine runs and struck out just three times in South Carolina.
Moak ended her career in Wesson as the all-time career hits leader with 157 in 109 career games. She also broke the single season hit record this season with 94, shattering the old mark of 76 set last season by current Southern Miss infielder Maddie Weeks.

An All-MACCC selection, Moak was also tabbed for the NFCA All-South Region First Team. In 2024 she posted a .503 batting average with 16 home runs, 69 RBIs, and 19 stolen bases.

Freshman pitcher Emily Richarde was also named to the World Series All-Tournament Team. A native of Lakeland, Tennessee who prepped at Arlington High, Richarde made six pitching appearances for Co-Lin in South Carolina.

She finished her 2024 season with 22 appearances in the circle and a 1.68 earned runs average.

Richarde had her best outing of the tournament in a 4-1 win over Parkland College, the No. 1 seed. In that game she gave up one earned run while scattering seven hits and striking out three.

Sophomore infielder Abby Grace Richardson was also picked for the NFCA All-South Region First Team. A Brookhaven Academy graduate and Mississippi State signee, she finished her sophomore season with a .444 batting average.

Richardson is the home run queen of CLCC softball, slugging 22 bombs this season and finishing with a career best 46 home runs during her two seasons in Wesson. In 2024, Richardson had 63 hits and scored 74 runs while driving in 65 runs.

Sophomore pitcher Cara Biswell also earned NFCA All-South Region First Team honors. A product of Brandon High, Biswell went 22-6 in 2024 and finished with a 2.77 ERA.

Like Moak and Richardson, she was a key piece for Co-Lin when the Wolves won the 2023 NJCAA Division II National Championship.
Biswell leaves Wesson with a pile of career records for the program including wins (42), starts (54), and appearances (63). She also holds the single season marks for starts (31) and appearances (34) in the circle.
