Senior Aiden Brice, a standout student and athlete at Wesson Attendance Center, recently signed to continue his academy and athletic career at Millsaps College.
Brice will run both cross-country and distance track events for the Majors.
Natalie Bach-Prather coaches the cross-country teams and track teams at Millsaps. The Majors compete at the NCAA Division III level.
Brice played basketball, ran cross-country and ran track during his career as a Cobra. He was named Most Valuable Athlete for track at Wesson along with being tabbed as the best male distance runner.
At the MHSAA 3A State Cross-Country Championship, Brice finished 30th out of a field of 99 runners.
Off the track and the court, Brice has left his mark as he was named Mr. Wesson High School and was inducted into the Wesson Hall of Fame.
“Aidan is a great kid with an awesome attitude,” said Wesson cross-country Vance Windom. “He works hard, never complains, and is always willing to go the extra mile to be successful. He started running his junior year, so he did a lot in just two years of work. He placed first in our district this year and will be a great asset for Millsaps.”
