Freshman quarterback Jordyn Kees and the Loyd Star offense are rounding into form as they get more confidence in running their new single-wing offense. On Friday in a homecoming 49-8 win over Stringer, Kees had a huge night.

Carrying the ball 18 times, Kees rushed for four touchdowns and 263 yards on the ground. He averaged a whopping 14.6 yards per carry and completed one pass for a 17-yard gain.

A varsity player last season as an eighth grader, Kees is one of those kids that you hear people talking about in junior high while discussing what they could potentially accomplish one day on the field.

Through five games, Kees has rushed for 883 yards and 13 touchdowns to lead the Hornets (4-1). His season high was a 274-yard night against Richton in a 31-28 win for the Hornets.
