Co-Lin to host several camps for young athletes this summer

There’ll be multiple opportunities for local kids to come to the campus of Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson this summer and make some memories at sports camps put on by the coaching staffs of the school.
Registration forms for the camps can be found on the colinathletics.com website under the “Inside Athletics” tab.
May 26-27, Basketball Day Camp (Grades 1-8)
The Co-Lin basketball staff, led by Hall-of-Famer Gwyn Young, will teach the fundamentals of the game in the longest running camp in the area for two days next week.
Sessions go from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in Mullen Gymnasium and registration will be held on Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. in the gym lobby.
Cost of the camp is $80, and each camper gets a t-shirt.
June 1-2, Football Camp (Ages 5-13)
Head football coach Glenn Davis will welcome campers to Stone Stadium for a two day camps that’ll take place on the first Wednesday and Thursday of June.
Sessions will last from 8:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. and registration will be held beginning at 7:30 a.m. on the north end of the field at Pitts Field House.
Cost of the camp is $85, and each camper gets a t-shirt.
June 6-7, Softball Kids Camp (Grades K-6)
Softball coach Meleah Howard and members of the 2022 MACCC state championship wining Co-Lin softball team will lead a two-day camp on a Monday and Tuesday of next month.
Sessions will last from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the CLCC softball field.
Cost of the camp is $80, and registration can be completed online at colinsoftballcamps.com.
June 16-17, Pee Wee Cheer Camp (Ages 4-9)
Members of the CLCC cheer team will assist coach Micah Allen in camp that’s geared towards beginners.
The registration deadline is June 10 and sessions will run from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
