Brookhaven High sophomore goalkeeper Bryce Smith was recently selected for the Central Mississippi Soccer All-Star Game. The match will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 9 on the campus of East Central Community College in Decatur.
The all-star game is in its fourth year of existence and is put on by Central Mississippi High School Soccer. CMHSS also puts out a bi-weekly coaches’ poll on Twitter that covers teams that play in the geographical areas of Hattiesburg to Madison County and from Vicksburg east to Meridian.
The game has a mix of upper and lower classmen and the two teams will be led by coaches from William Carey University’s soccer staff. Franklin County sophomore Zachery Kent will suit up for the same team as Smith. A girls’ match will begin the action at 5:30 p.m. in Bailey Stadium.
