Loyd Star and Copiah-Lincoln Community College alum Marley Poole has signed a letter-of-intent to continue her softball career at The Mississippi University for Women. A corner infielder who can also catch, Poole was a two year starter for the Lady Wolves. As a freshman, she batted .323 with three home runs and 25 runs driven in for CLCC and coach Meleah Howard. As a senior for coach Jan Delaughter at Loyd Star, Poole had a .379 average at the plate. The MUW Owls are a NCAA Division III program and recently hired a new head softball coach in Buddy Foster.
