Photo by Ann Clark Wesson pitcher slow-pitch pitcher Kyla Smith has had a Lady Cobra defense behind her that has yet to surrender a run through two games. The Lady Cobras beat Florence 8-0 Thursday and Clinton 11-0 on Tuesday. Wesson plays at Bogue Chitto on Tuesday in a big region matchup.

Through the first week of the season the Wesson Lady Cobras are unbeaten and unscored upon after whipping Florence 8-0 at home Thursday night. The Lady Cobras opened their season on Tuesday with an 11-0 win over Clinton.

Coach Michelle Nunnery and her team are now in a region that includes Bogue Chitto, Franklin County, Jefferson County and Crystal Springs. Hazlehurst was also supposed to be in the region but did not have a team this year.

On Tuesday the Lady Cobras will travel to play at Bogue Chitto in a game that will pit the two region favorites against each other. Wesson will host Brookhaven on Thursday as well.
