Loyd Star junior Leondre Dodds won the 800-meter race at the Region 4-2A meet at Pass Christian last week. Dodds runs today at the 2A South State Meet in Flowood at Northwest Rankin. There will also be several West Lincoln Bears competing at the South State Meet.

Chase Spring of West Lincoln won the 1,600-meter race for the Bears at the region meet and Tiler Castillo took first place in the 3,200-meter run for WL as well. Spring also finished third in the 3,200. The WL relay teams placed second in the 4×100 and third in the 4×800. Chris Freeman was second in the long jump and teammate Landon Burgess was third in the same event.

Ashland Watts finished third in the 3,200-meter run for the Lady Bears.
