A stretch of county roadway will be out of service this Monday due to road improvements, said Lincoln County Administrator David Fields.

Road repair crews will be working on Old Red Star Road starting from the intersection of Macedonia Road, all the way north to the Mount Zion intersection.

“It’s a heavily trafficked area so we want to get the word out so people can make arrangements,” said District Five Supervisor Dudley Nations.

Nations doesn’t expect the work to last any longer than a day.

The repairs are a joint effort of Nations and District Two Supervisor Jimmy Diamond.
