Co-Lin’s Brown garners NJCAA National Player of the Week honors

WESSON – After already garnering the MACJC Player of the Week award on Tuesday, Copiah-Lincoln freshman outfielder Adrian Brown has now been named National Player of the Week by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

Brown had a week he will never forget by going 12-for-17 (.705) against Northwest Mississippi and Jones County. He hit 10 singles, one double and one homerun on his way to producing 11 RBIs and scoring six runs.

Brown had his biggest game of the week in Co-Lin’s 18-10 win over No. 1 Jones County. He finished 6-for-6 with seven RBIs and was a huge reason for the Wolves comeback from a 9-2 deficit in the bottom of the sixth.

Brown, a graduate of McComb High School, finished the season tied for the team lead with 45 hits and led the Wolves with 37 runs scored. The centerfielder was also second on the team with 12 stolen bases.
