Enterprise dominates Bassfield, East Marion

The Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets captured two big Region 7-2A victories Monday and Tuesday night as they blasted the Bassfield Lady Yellowjackets 12-0 on Monday and clobbered the East Marion Eagles 17-0 on Tuesday in fastpitch softball action.

The Lady Jackets (2-3, 2-0) will resume action Thursday as they host their Lincoln County/Region rivals, West Lincoln Lady Bears, for another big district test. Junior varsity action begins at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity contest at 6:15 p.m.

Enterprise 12, Bassfield 0

The Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets came out strong and quickly dominated the Bassfield Lady Yellowjackets in four innings of action.

Haley Nations tossed the win for the Enterprise with 10 strikeouts and one walk.

Molly Burke directed the Enterprise’s offensive explosion with a double. Jana Nations ripped a pair of singles. Hitting safely were Karlee Burgess and Brooke Foster.

In junior varsity action,  Enterprise blanked Bassfield 9-0.

Kristen Walker was the winning pitcher for Enterprise with nine strikeouts and three walks. Lynsey Nations (2K, 1BB) also saw some action in the pitching circle.

Lynsey Nations powered Enterprise’s offensive attack with a double and a single. Morgan Smith and Cailyn Brown contributed two singles apiece. Belle Porter hit a single.

Enterprise 17, East Marion 0

Haley Nations captured her second win in a row Tuesday night pitching for the Lady Jackets with 11 strikeouts and no walks.

Molly Burke powered the Lady Jackets offensive attack against East Marion with a home run. Jana Nation and Kinsey Dahlin continued to fuel the flames with three singles apiece. Carlee Nations ripped a pair of doubles. Carly Polk and Haley Nations provided a double and a single apiece. Karlee Burgess contributed a triple and a single. Brooke Foster hit two singles.

In junior varsity action,  Enterprise thumped East Marion 7-2.

Kristin Walker pitched the win for the Lady Jackets with seven strikeouts and three walks.

Morgan Smith and Walker paced the Lady Jackets at the plate with a single apiece.
