WESSON – Led by two goals each from Kane Gillian and Kemo Veridin, the FC Soccer Dawgs beat a solid Wesson team 4-0 Friday night.

In the girls’ game, FC completed the sweep of Wesson with a 1-0 victory.

The Franklin High boys’, under the direction of Jeff Long, jumped out to a 1-0 lead off an assist from Kyle McCormick to Verdin.

Verdin added two assists to Gillian, who connected on goals to give FCHS a comfy 3-0 lead on a chilly night.

Thomas Slagle found Verdin for the Bulldogs final goal of the night.

Wesson had several scoring chances, but the FC defense kept the Cobras at bay to complete the shutout.

In the ladies’ game, Jourdan Cummings scored the lone goal in a tightly contested game.

FC collected a season sweep of Wesson, in both boys’ and girls’ play, winning earlier this week in Bude.
