Lady Jackets sting East Marion

COLUMBIA – The Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets captured a big Region 7-2A win over the East Marion Lady Eagles last Tuesday night with a 12-1 victory in softball action.

The Lady Jackets (5-9, 2-1) will continue action Tuesday as they host the Loyd Star Lady Hornets for a huge district test. JV action starts at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 6 p.m.

Enterprise 12, East Marion 1 

The Lady Jacket came out and quickly took care of business as they repeatedly stung the Lady Eagles with a seven run explosion in the first inning.

Enterprise and East Marion scored one run apiece in the second inning as the Lady Jackets managed to keep a seven-run lead at 8-1.

The Lincoln County-based Lady Jackets continued lighting up the scoreboard in the third inning as they pushed across four runs and increased their lead to 12-1 to secure the victory.

Kailyn Chemin was the winning pitcher for the Lady Jackets as she tossed a no hitter while collecting seven strikeouts and allowing two walks.

Haley Nations powered Enterprise’s offense with a double. Karlee Burgess had a single.
