Loyd Star splits with Enterprise

The Loyd Star Lady Hornets and Enterprise Jackets were victorious Monday night in junior high action at Enterprise Gymnasium.

In the girls contest, the Lady Hornets thumped the Lady Jackets 34-19. Andrea Butler pumped in 20 points to lead the Lady Hornets. Sarah Britt scored eight points. Lizzie Boyte was the top scorer for the Lady Jackets with six points and Breyuana Johnson had five points.

In the boys’ junior high game, the Enterprise Jackets nipped the Loyd Star Hornets 51-48, Jadarrius Allen and Peytin Jergins powered the Jackets with 16 points apiece. Brent Cade and Dane Smith paced the Hornets with 13 points each. Zabien Price contributed 12 points.

In seven grade action, Loyd Star’s girls and boys swept Enterprise.

In girls action, the Lady Hornets defeated the Lady Jackets 19-14. Kelsie Foster powered the Lady Hornets with nine points. Taylor Smith had six points. The Lady Jackets were lead by Marlee Gunnell and Raven Greer with four points each.

In the boys contest, Loyd Star surpassed Enterprise 23-19. Tanner Watts pumped in 12 points to the Hornets Reese Dehart scored six points. Wyatt Brown directed the Jackets with eight points. John Burns provided six points.
