In observance of Labor Day, the following businesses, schools and government offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2:

• The Daily Leader

• Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce

• U.S. Post Office facilities

• Mississippi Highway Patrol driver’s license examination office

• Brookhaven Academy, Brookhaven city schools, Copiah County schools, Franklin County schools, Lawrence County schools, Lincoln County schools, Mississippi School of the Arts and Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

• The city offices in Brookhaven, Monticello, Bude, Meadville and Wesson.

• The county offices in Copiah, Franklin, Lawrence and Lincoln counties.

Waste Management will run their regular routes on Monday.
