Austin P. Jackson, 20, of Bogue Chitto was arrested Sunday in Brookhaven for armed robbery and aggravated assault at Smith’s Car Wash on Union Street, local police said.

According to Brookhaven Detective Clint Earls, Sunday at 5:59 p.m. Brookhaven Police Department received a complaint from Austin T. Barnett, 22, of Brookhaven. When police arrived at the scene Barnett reported he had been physically assaulted and robbed.

Jackson was arrested by Michael Harvey and is being held at the Lincoln County Jail.

Earls added that the case is still under investigation and Brookhaven police officers are searching for another suspect.
