Peavey lifts Braves over Grambling State

Scottie Peavey had a career night Tuesday as he went 5-for-5 with two home runs in a 15-4 win over Grambling State University.

Peavey, an Ole Brook product and a senior right fielder on the Braves roster, collected two singles and a double to go along with his two momentum turning home runs.

Alcorn State will end their regular season Friday in Lorman against Arkansas – Pine Bluff at 2 p.m..

The Braves will participate in the SWAC Tournament next week in New Orleans.

For the season, Peavey is batting .382 with 11 home runs, both are team highs for the Alcorn State Braves baseball team.

“I have had a good season,” said Peavey. “I hope to continue in the tournament and if given the opportunity hopefully in pro ball too.”
