THE DAILY LEADER / RACHEL EIDE / Anna, Jacob and Stephanie Noble (from left) and their Dachshund, Duke, enjoy a picnic on the Mississippi School of the Arts campus during BarkFest 2014 Saturday.
Also enjoying BarkFest are (from left) Ginger McMillian, her rescued Chinese Crested, Ming, and McTavish, a 14-year-old Scottish terrier. BarkFest is held each year as a fundraiser for the Brookhaven Animal Rescue League. The event was initiated years ago by MSA students who wanted to raise awareness of BARL.
Baxter Azlin makes friends with a white ferret, one of the many exotic animals on display in Percy King’s menagerie.
