BOGUE CHITTO – The Enterprise Yellow Jackets returned to the diamond after a long layoff due to the wet weather this week with high hopes of capturing their first victory of the season as they took on the McComb Tigers in the newly revamped Lincoln County Invitational tournament, formerly known as the Lincoln County tournament at Bogue Chitto.

After a tough seesaw battle, the Jackets saw their chances of a potential victory slip by as the Tigers shaved Enterprise 5-4 on a throwing error in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday afternoon.

“The guys played hard,” said Enterprise coach Cass Brister. “We came out flat in the beginning but continued to fight hard and had a shot to get the win. Overall, it is my fault we were not more prepared, but I promise that we will get better.”
