Area schools have announced closures for Thursday due to the winter weather.

Copiah-Lincoln Community College will not have classes Thursday, according to Natalie Davis, director of public information at the college.

The Brookhaven public schools, Lincoln County public schools, Brookhaven Academy, Copiah County public schools, Franklin County public schools and Lawrence County Schools will be closed Thursday.
