BSW claims two victories

The Brookhaven Southern Wildcats captured two victories over the Amite County Ravens in TNT Youth Football League action in Liberty.
Brookhaven defeated the Ravens 20-6 in the 11-to-12 year-old game and 28-14 in the 7-to-8 year-old game. In 9-to-10 year-old action, Amite County prevailed 8-6 over the Wildcats.
The Wildcats play again Saturday, hosting the Magnolia Hurricanes at King Field. The first game starts at 10 a.m.
BSW 20, Ravens 6
Jamie Finley was the offensive leader for the Wildcats with 155 yards rushing. He scored one touchdown on a 60-yard sprint.
Byrion Robinson punched in two touchdowns for BSW on scrambles of four yards and three yards. He cashed in a two-point conversion.
Defensively, Finley was the top hitter for Brookhaven Southern with seven tackles and a fumble recovery.
BSW 28, Ravens 14
Kenneth Dixon directed the Wildcats on offensive in the 7-to-8 year-old division with 124 yards rushing and three touchdowns. He scored on runs of 25, 40 and 20 yards. He also plowed through on two attempts for A two-point conversion.
Tyrone Jones contributed a touchdown for BSW with a 65-yard sprint.
Defensively, Kermit Sartin paced Brookhaven with five tackles. Nathan Lewis provided three tackles and a fumble recovery.
Ravens 8, BSW 6
Darius Robinson produced a game-high performance for the 9-to-10 year-old Wildcats with 118 yards rushing and scored the only touchdown on a 25-yard scramble.
Defensively, Jay Brown led the team with five tackles and two sacks. Zamamon Diff, Omarion Diggs, Sartin and Robinson helped with two stops apiece.
