Funeral services for Kenneth Wayne Saucier, of Saucier, were 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1, at Riemann Family Funeral Home in Gulfport, with burial in Diamond Cemetery in Saucier.
Mr. Saucier, 62, was joined in death by his wife of 33 years, Kay Saucier and youngest son, Matt Saucier on April 23, 2012. He was born in Gulfport on May 6, 1949, to Qunel and Iris Diamond Saucier.
He was raised on Diamond Road in Saucier and enjoyed the outdoors. He liked to affectionately give nicknames to those closest to him. Hunting, fishing and spending time with his three grandchildren was the highlight of his day. He loved to be in the kitchen with his sister, Sissy, helping prepare for family get-togethers. His specialty for any family gathering was to build a fire outdoors and cook an iron pot full of beans. Kenny, Sissy and Randall were always getting together for a celebration, cookout or just a morning cup of coffee. Kenny was a graduate of Harrison Central High School and was a retired crane operator for Trans World Drilling.
Preceding him in death were his parents; paternal grandparents, Benson and Madie Saucier; and maternal grandparents; Robert “Bob” and Pinkie Diamond.
Survivors are his oldest son, Marty Dwayne Saucier; sister, Beverly “Sissy” Weekley and husband, Joey; brother, Randall Saucier and wife, Julie; three grandchildren, Gavin (7), Ty, (6) and Kaylee (5), all of Saucier; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
