Allie C. “Mac” Kelly
Services for Allie C. “Mac” Kelly, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Monday, July 18 at Galilee A.M.E. Church in Caseyville with burialin the church cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at R.E. Tyler FuneralHome.
Mrs. Kelly, 89, died July 13, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born on May 5, 1915, to Johnny Culver and LucilleHumphrey Culver.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Galilee A.M.E.Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, DelmaKelly; her sisters, Harriet Ross and Annie Allen; her brothers,George Humphrey, Ameal Culver, Cleon Humphrey, Jack Humphrey andRobert Humphrey; and a son, Alphonso Kelly.
Survivors are her daughters, Betty Kelly, of Chicago, and LouiseDixon, of Brookhaven; her son, Oscar Kelly, of Jackson; her sister,Mary Alice Brown, of Brookhaven; and a host of grandchildren andgreat-grandchildren.
Billy Payne Thomas
Services for Billy Payne Thomas, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.Saturday, July 16 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 5-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Thomas, 74, died July 14, 2005, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center. He was born in Chestnut, La., on Jan. 5,1931, to Charlie Thomas and Addie Hughes Thomas.
He was retired. He served in the Air Force during the KoreanWar. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans ofForeign Wars and the Moose Lodge. He loved to fish and work in hisgarden.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters; twobrothers; and a son, Rickey Thomas.
Survivors are his wife, Norma Vallery Thomas, of Bogue Chitto;his daughter, Rebecca Louise Lodes, of Picayune; his sons, BillyThomas and Mark Wayne Thomas, both of Brookhaven; his sister,Charlcy Thomas, of Bossier City, La.; seven grandchildren; andthree great-grandchildren.
