Carroll Jacob Klar, 62, of Nashville, Tenn., died Nov. 9, 2002,of a heart attack in Jackson County, Tenn. He was born in CopiahCounty on May 6, 1940, to Jake Klar and Laura Burns Klar. He was agraduate of Wesson High School, Copiah-Lincoln Community College,and Mississippi State University.

He was retired from Harlan Printing Company. He was a member ofthe Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the Air Force.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his sister,Lorraine Klar.

Survivors are his wife, Edith Klar of Nashville; his sons, TobyKlar and Gabe Klar, both of Nashville; and his cousin, Dianne BurnsSmith of Brookhaven.
