Georgie Lee Jordan

Services for Georgie Lee Jordan, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.today, Aug. 15 at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Mt. OliveChurch of Christ Cemetery.

Mrs. Jordan, 85, died Aug. 14, 2005, at Beverly Health Care. Shewas born in Adams County on May 25, 1920, to George Thorpe andPearl Kile Thorpe.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Olive Church ofChrist.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, OtisJordan; her brothers, George Thorpe Jr., Raymond Thorpe, LoydThorpe and Gerald Thorpe; and her sisters, Margaret Canjemi and FayAldridge.

Survivors are her brothers, James Thorpe, of Natchez, DarolThorpe, of Union Church, John Thorpe, of Natchez, and HaroldThorpe, of Brookhaven; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James Earl Rutland

Services for James Earl Rutland, of Sontag, are 11 a.m. Tuesday,Aug. 16 at Community Funeral Services Chapel with burial in NewHope Baptist Church in Lawrence County.

Visitation is today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Rutland, 52, died Aug. 12, 2005, at the Lawrence CountyNursing Home. He was born on April 23, 1953, to Ernest P. Rutlandand Mandy King Rutland.

He was disabled.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter; threebrothers; and a sister.

Survivors are his wife, Jackie Rutland, of Sontag; his daughter,Darla Rutland, of Brookhaven; his sons, Travis Rutland, of Sontag,and Wesley Rutland, of Ruth; his mother-in-law, Eunice Herrington,of Monticello; his sisters, Jeanette Fuller, of Brookhaven,Ernestine Boyd, of Cleveland, Tenn., Brenda Sue Lockwood, ofCleveland, Tenn., and Mabel Jadoon, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; hisbrothers, Roy L. Rutland, of Jackson, Donald Earl Rutland, ofCleveland, Tenn., Glen Roy Rutland, of Brookhaven, and Benny DeanRutland, of Monticello; and two grandchildren.
