Margie Cothern Allen

Services for Margie Cothern Allen, of Tangipahoa Parish, La.,are noon Monday, April 6, at Trinity Baptist Church in PumpkinCenter, La. with burial in Rose Memorial Cemetery in Hammond, La.Dr. Randy Davis will officiate. Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the serviceat the church.

Mrs. Allen, 62, died April 3, 2009, at the Richard MurphyHospice House in Hammond. She was born in McComb.

She was employed for over 22 years with the Tangipahoa ParishCouncil as a council clerk.

Survivors are her devoted husband, Dave Harvey; her mother,Beuna B. Cothern, of Jayess; her sons, Kevin Allen and wife, Tina,of Denham Springs, La., and Karl Allen and wife, Beth Anne, ofMobile, Ala.; her daughter, Kimberly Case and husband, Blake, ofBrookhaven; her brothers, Wayne Cothern and wife, Mary Sue, andSteve Cothern and wife, Peggy, all of Jayess; her grandchildren,Stone and Kalli Case, Kaden Brice Allen and Holden Edgecombe; herstepchildren, Kacie Harvey Rainey and husband, Kevin, and JillHarvey Desouge and husband, Marshall; and her stepgrandchildren,Olivia Kate, Carter David and Kellin Parker Rainey and HaileyRainey, Brody Desouge and Monique Desouge.

George Glenn Tyrone

Services for George Glenn Tyrone, of Monticello, were 11 a.m.Saturday, April 4, at Wanilla Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Tyrone, 75, died April 2, 2009, at Ridgeland HospiceMinistries. He was born in Lawrence County on Feb. 21, 1934, toWalter Tyrone and Myrtice Keene Tyrone.

He worked in the forestry industry with Franklin Timber Company.He was a member of Wanilla Baptist Church, where he served asdeacon and on numerous committees at the church. He was apipeliner, an avid outdoorsman, member of USDA Farm Service Agencyand vice chairman of its county operating committee.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, CeolinTyrone; and his sons, Ricky Lynn Tyrone and George Glenn TyroneJr.

Survivors are his wife, Gladys D. Tyrone; his son, Randy Tyroneand wife, Melinda, of Baton Rouge, La.; his daughter, Susie Mannand husband, Logan, of Byram; his daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Martinand husband, Greg, of Monticello; his grandson, Travis Tyrone; hisgranddaughters, Jessica Mann and Kayla Mann; and his sisters, MaryGay Miller, of Clinton, and Sandra Kay Lambert, of Monticello.
