Nationals wallop Wesson; McComb mauls Americans

WESSON – In the first round of the Dixie Youth Baseball 7-YearOlds AA All-Star Subdistrict Tournament, McComb crushed the LincolnCounty Americans 20-5 and the Lincoln County Nationals spankedWesson 27-14.

McComb advances to Thursday night and faces the winner oftoday’s game between the Nationals and Walthall at 6 p.m.
In the loser’s bracket, the Americans square off against Wessonat 6 with the winner playing Thursday at 6.

Powering the Americans with a single apiece were Tanner Watts,Jacob Cox, Reese Dehart and Colby Beard.
For McComb, Darren Tobias led with 2 doubles and a single. BradyJohnson and Jacoby Smith drilled a triple and a single apiece. WadeWatts singled 3 times. Ripping a double and a single each wereBraswell Ervin and Ben Myrick. Hayes Tisdale singled twice. MitchReeves doubled and Brandon Chapman singled.
The Americans committed 6 errors to McComb’s 4.
