Elizabeth Ernestine Givens ‘Tina’ Gregg

Services for Elizabeth Ernestine Givens “Tina” Gregg, ofMagnolia, are 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Hartman-SharkeyFuneral Home Chapel in McComb with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 2 until 3 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Gregg, 71, died Sept. 21, 2009, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born in Lawrence Countyon Dec. 26, 1937, to Henry Adrien “Mutt” Givens and Allie DellaHart Posey.

She was a certified nursing assistant. Her family referred toMrs. Gregg as a loving mother, caring nursing assistant and assomeone who loved to cook and read.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MartinVernon Gregg; and a sister, Margaret Louise Givens Nettles.

Survivors are a son, Micky Vernon Hancock; a daughter, CynthiaRenee Hancock Roberts; her brothers, Wayne Pennington and RobertPennington; a sister, Janie Thames; her three grandchildren; agreat-grandchild; her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews,and many special friends.

Sherwood Currie Lambert

Services for Sherwood Currie Lambert, of Jayess, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticellowith burial in Forest Grove Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery inMonticello.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 10 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Lambert, 65, died Sept. 20, 2009, at UAB Hospital inBirmingham, Ala. He was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 15, 1944, toBeron Lambert and Ruby Sumrall Lambert.

He was a retired boilermaker who was a charter member of thelocal union 110 in Hattiesburg. He was also a retired self-employedlogger.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Beron Lambert and RubySumrall Lambert.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Hux Lambert; his sons, JasonLambert and Matthew Lambert, both of Jayess; a daughter, AnitaHolden and husband, Cory, of Jayess; a sister, Cathy Vernon, ofBrandon; and his three grandchildren, Stephen Holden, Jacob Holdenand Ashley Holden, all of Jayess.
