Services for Frederick Thomas “Pete” Stroud, of Brookhaven, are11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15 at Damascus Baptist Church in FranklinCounty with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Homeis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Stroud, 88, died Sept. 13, 2005, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Franklin Countyon Nov. 13, 1916, to Andrew Butler Stroud and Lela Hall Stroud.

He was a mechanic. He was a member of Damascus BaptistChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 71 years, Callie Wilson Stroud, ofBrookhaven; his daughters, Patty Smith and Shelby Jean Waldon, bothof Brookhaven; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
