Services for Kathleen “DD” Magee of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.Saturday, Dec. 4 at Center Street Church of Christ with burial inCarver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 6 p.m., with family presentfrom 6-7 p.m. at R.E. Tyler Funeral Home.

Mrs. Magee, 53, died Nov. 30, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on July 8, 1951, to Maudee Herring Byrd andJames Byrd.

She was a former sewing machine operator at Kellwood and formercertified nurse assistant at Cartwheel Nursing Home.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her sister, RowanaHill; and her brother, Mervin Herring.

Survivors are her daughters, Valerie Byrd and Tarsha TomicaByrd; her sons, Chauncy Byrd and Core L. Magee; her sister, VeraColeman; her brothers, Edgar Herring, Jefferie Hill, Fredrick Hilland Willie Hill; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces andnephews.
