Funeral services for Alfred DanielApplewhite Jr., of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, atBrookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive, with burial in MidwayCemetery in Meadville.

    Mr. Applewhite, 82, died Jan. 7, 2012, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital. He was born in Lincoln County on March 23, 1929,to Alfred Applewhite Sr. and Pinkie Lea Applewhite.

    He worked at Keystone Wire Plant and was a member of New HopeMethodist Church.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Billy Applewhite;father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kinner and Minnie Carlock Freeman;sister-in-law, Nettie Freeman Britt; and brothers-in-law, CurtisMason and Floyd Freeman.

    Survivors are his wife, Etta Freeman Applewhite; son, Tony DanielApplewhite, of Brookhaven; brother, Paul Applewhite, of Wesson;sisters, Evelyn Mason, of Brookhaven, Alice Smith, of Brookhaven,and Francis Davis and husband, Bill, of Wesson; brother-in-law,Lloyd Freeman; sisters-in-law, Irene Applewhite and Nellie Freeman;grandson, Jared Kinner Applewhite; and a host of nieces andnephews.
