Services for Alton “Pete” Nelson Jr., of Bogue Chitto, are 2p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 at New Zion Union M.B. Church in BogueChitto with burial in the Bogue Chitto Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Nelson, 58, died Dec. 2, 2005, at his residence. He was bornon Aug. 6, 1947, to Alton Nelson Sr. and Mynell Holmes.

He was a temporary worker at Specialty Mineral Co. inBrookhaven. He was a 1965 graduate of Eva H. Harris High School. Hewas a member of New Zion Union M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his father; his son, Victor Nelson;his sister, Jena Kaye Bullock; and a brother, Robert Dorsey.

Survivors are his mother, Mynell Holmes, of Bogue Chitto; hiswife, Ruby Lee Nelson, of Brookhaven; his daughter, Remelda Dalton,of McComb; his son, Alton Nelson III, of Brookhaven; his sisters,Sally Godbolt, Deborah Turner and her husband, Benton, and LorrainLewis and her husband, Rufus, all of Bogue Chitto; sixgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
