Services for Betty J. Dykes, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Tuesday,Dec. 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Natchez Drive withburial in Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Dykes, 69, died Dec. 5, 2009, at Silver Cross Home inBrookhaven. She was born in Pike County on July 25, 1940, toWilliam Jeff Matthews and Elizabeth Hodges.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of First BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JamesEdward Dykes; a daughter, Sue Dykes; a grandson, D.J. Martin; and agranddaughter, Laurie Elizabeth Evans.

Survivors are her sons, James Dykes, Earl Dykes and CharlesDykes, all of Brookhaven; her daughters, Judy Arnold, WandaPennington and Jane Evans, all of Brookhaven; her threegrandchildren, Casey Martin, Jenny Bowman and Joseph Dykes; and herfour great-grandchildren, Hope Martin, Savannah Smith, GarrettDykes and Kadyn Bowman.

Jason Clay Lofton

Services for Jason Clay Lofton, of Smithdale, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel inBrookhaven with burial in Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery in FranklinCounty.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Lofton, 37, died Dec. 5, 2009, in Lincoln County. He wasborn on Feb. 12, 1972, to Wayne Lofton and Jearlene PickettLofton.

He was the owner of Loftons Fuel Injection. He was a member ofRamah Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Dekalb and JewelLofton and Marvin and Nell Pickett; and a brother, StephenLofton.

Survivors are his parents, Wayne and Jearlene Lofton; his wife,Stephanie Case Lofton; his daughters, Shelby Lofton, of BogueChitto, Abigail Lofton, of Smithdale, Alicia Smith and husband,Logan, of Brookhaven, and April Holcomb and husband, Patrick, ofBogue Chitto; a brother, Mike Lofton and wife, Mary; a sister,Jennie Crowfoot and husband, George; his father- and mother-in-law,Jack and Alice Case; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces andnephews.

Willena Roberts

Services for Willena Roberts, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m.Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel inBrookhaven with burial in Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery inBogue Chitto.

Mrs. Roberts, 89, died Dec. 6, 2009, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born on Feb. 12,1920, to Will Brown and Virgie Johnston Brown.

She was retired. She was a member of Easthaven BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Lee RoyRoberts; a son, Bobby Roberts; a daughter, Pauline Hall; a brother,Lester Brown; and her sisters, Helen Davis, Christina Ezell andPearlie Brown.

Survivors are her sons, Robert Davis and wife, Jennifer, ClintonDavis and wife, Linda, and S.W. Roberts and wife, Judy; herdaughters, Louise Busby and husband, Tommy, Janie Hart and husband,Gary, Gennie Varnado, Mattie Peterson, Glenda Allen, Linda Johnsonand Inez Johnston; a brother, J.W. Brown and wife, Agnes; ason-in-law, Weames Hall; a daughter-in-law, Janie Roberts; and hermany loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren andgreat-great-grandchildren.

Hugh V. Watts

Services for Hugh V. Watts, a native of Brookhaven and alongtime resident of St. Bernard Parish, La., are noon Tuesday,Dec. 8, at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial inSt. Bernard Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is Monday from 6 until 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 8a.m. until noon at the funeral home.

Mr. Watts, 82, died Dec. 4, 2009.

He was a retired crane operator from Kaiser Aluminum and amember of the United Steel Works Union. He was also owner andoperator of Huey’s Kart Shop since 1956.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Blanche Watts andWeaver Ferguson Watts; and a sister, Etta Lou Watts Sandidge.

Survivors are his wife, Lula Crimm Watts; his children, ThomasWatts, William Watts, Peggy Watts Edenfield, Nita Watts Addotto andJason Wayne Watts; his siblings, Hazel Watts Allen, Juanita WattsLofton and Yvonne Watts Smith; his nine grandchildren; his ninegreat-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins andfriends.
