Margaret Branton Magee

Services for Margaret Branton Magee of Flora, formerly ofLawrence County, were held Sept. 28. Burial was in WoodlawnCemetery in Columbia. Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko was incharge of arrangements.

Mrs. Magee, 88, died Sept. 25, 2004, at her daughter’s home inFlora. She was the daughter of S.F. and Cordelia Griffith Brantonof Columbia (White Bluff).

She was originally from the Center Community in Lawrence Countyand was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, Jim andRay Branton; and her husband, Kary Buell Magee.

Survivors are her two children, James Magee of Poplarville, andJoyce Spell of Flora; her six grandchildren; and her 14great-grandchildren.

Harold Williams

Graveside services for Harold Williams of Bogue Chitto were noontoday, Oct. 20, at Johnson Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Williams, 90, died Oct. 18, 2004, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Bogue Chitto on Aug. 15, 1914, toEmmett F. Williams and Mae Brent Williams.

He was retired from Chevron Oil Company after 30 years ofemployment. He was a 32 degree Mason with the Bogue Chitto Lodge.Mr. Williams was a veteran of the Army and served in World War II.He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was marriedfor 64 years to Margaret Vick Williams of Bogue Chitto.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and one sister,Geraldine Williams.

Survivors are his wife; his sons, Greg Williams of Bogue Chitto,and Vick Williams and his wife, Kathy, of Alexandria, La.; his fourgrandchildren, Dara Dubois, Rus Williams, Rod Williams and DustinWilliams; and one great grandchild, Mackenzie Dubois.
