WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College will host the District 7 State Games of Mississippi baseball tryouts on Wednesday, June 5, at Sullivan Stadium. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Rising juniors and seniors are eligible.

The tryout will consist of fielding, throwing, running, and hitting drills. Eighteen players will be selected for the team, which will compete against other districts from the state in a tournament that will be held at Meridian Community College in late June.

The tryout is under the direction of college coaches.

District Seven won the gold medal last summer for the first time.
