Hilton W. Brown Sr.
Services for Hilton W. Brown Sr. of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m.,Tuesday, Oct. 24, at Bethel Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto withburial in Bethel Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday, Oct. 23, from 5-9 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home.
Mr. Brown, 84, died Oct. 22, 2000, of heart failure at HavenHall Nursing Home. He was born in Lincoln County on April 3, 1916,to Pence Wilson Brown and Ola Mae Brown Brown.
He was a retired farmer and had worked many years at the woodyard in Bogue Chitto. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Irene ParsonsBrown; his brother, Hansel Brown; his sister, Ethel Margaret Brown;and his granddaughter, April Lynn Smith.
Survivors are his son, Hilton W. Brown Jr. of Bogue Chitto; hisdaughters, Ann Callender of Clinton, Brenda Gail Case and ShirleySmith, both of Caseyville, and Sharon B. Hall and Frankie JaneLeggett, both of Bogue Chitto; his brothers, Hulon P. Brown andRobert W. Brown, both of Bogue Chitto; his sisters, Katie LouveniaBoyd of Odessa, Texas, Sarah Elizabeth “Betty” Smith of Brookhaven,Charlotte Matthews of Florence, and June B. Ballard and Ella RoseJordan, both of Bogue Chitto; and 15 grandchildren, 13great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries of Brookhaven.

Services for Marie L. Wallace of Bogue Chitto are 1 p.m.,Monday, Oct. 23, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inMoaks Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 22, from 1-9 p.m. and Monday from 8a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Wallace, 86, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, at King’sDaughters Medical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on June 3,1914, to the late Joseph Hubard and Elizabeth May Leonard.
She was retired from Silver Cross Nursing Home. She was a memberof Cold Springs Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Cleveland D.Wallace; two sons; a daughter; and four brothers.
Survivors are her son, Robert D. Wallace of Bogue Chitto;brother, J.B. Leonard of Brookhaven; 13 grandchildren; and a numberof great grandchildren.
Edith Rae Furr White
Services for Edith Rae Furr White of Wesson are 10 a.m. Monday,Oct. 23, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in LittleBahala Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 22, from 6-9 p.m. and Monday, Oct.23, from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. White, 86, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at Country BrookLiving Center. She was born in Lincoln County on June 22, 1914, tothe late Mack C. and Vallie Mae Morgan Furr.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Little Bahala BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James OliverWhite; brothers, Percy Furr and Hugh Furr; and a grandson, PatrickRaymond White.
Survivors are her sons, James Alton White of Sacramento, Calif.,and Gary L. White of Wesson; brother, Hilton Furr of Wesson;sisters, Meryle Terwilliger of Greenwood, Maxine Kelley of Hernandoand Esther Farmer of Wesson; two grandchildren; and 13great-grandchildren.
