Funeral services for Amos David Gibson, of Summit, are 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb, with burial in Montgomery Cemetery. Dr. David Millican will officiate.
Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Gibson, 87, died Nov. 24, 2012, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb. He was born on Oct. 6, 1925, to William Amos and Corrine Blackledge Gibson.
He was a retired truck driver for Croft Metals and he attended Montgomery Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and wife, Edna. E. Gibson.
Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Tommy Thompson, of Summit; sons and daughters-in-law, Loyd and Delores Gibson, of Como, Joe and Karen Gibson, of Marlow, Okla., and Randy and Janice Gibson, of Chauvin, La.; brothers and their spouses, J.W. and Charlene Gibson, of Enon, and Leroy and June Gibson, of Tallahasse, Fla.; sisters, Lucille Dunaway, of McComb, and Sarah Sandifer, and husband, Bertis, of Panama City, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Howard Wright, Jamie Wright, Scott Gibson, Wayne Deplantis, Keith Gibson, Zachary Emond, Dakota Wallace and Michael Anderson.
