Services for Betty Jo Ashley of Hazlehurst were Saturday, July27, at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in Bethel Cemetery.Stringer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ashley, 66, died July 25, 2002, at St. Dominic Hospital inJackson. She was a lifelong resident of Copiah County.

She was a certified medical assistant and a genealogist. She wasa member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Bethel BaptistChurch, where she taught Sunday School.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Robert Windom Sr., andJeffey Clyburn Windom.

Survivors are her husband, Jerry Ashley; her son, Jerry AshleyJr. of Hazlehurst; her daughter, Dr. Daphne Constance Jones ofMarietta, Ga.; her brothers, Robert Wilson Windom, Jr., ofGeorgetown, and Vance Ernest Windom of Hazlehurst; and threegrandchildren.
